Stephen is from South Africa. He left home at 18 to study in the USA at The Atlanta College of Art. He planned to return to SA, but met his beautiful wife, Ellen. They married in 1990 and have 3 children. Somewhere along the way he struck out on his own, and Elevation began in it’s earliest configuration as “Bigmouth Effects Co.” in 1996. For Stephen, it has been an amazing journey meeting so many great people along the way.
I have the privilege of working with the most talented group of people. Elevation has the best staff, period. -Stephen
Stephen became a US citizen in 2002 and is very grateful to this great country for the opportunity to work and compete in the design industry.
Ellen is from Chicago and is very proud of her Mid-Western roots. She has a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from the University of Illinois. She met a crazy South African and soon 3 children followed, along with late nights and crazy deadlines in the world of motion design as she helped to launch Elevation and run a busy household at the same time. Now with older children, Ellen is able to play a more active role in the business, keeping the finances in order and making sure that staff and clients have an endless supply of snacks and drinks and free nutritional advice to anyone who will listen.
Stacey loves Sarah Silverman, her bulldog “Guffman” and carb-loading.

Stephanie aspires to be an astronaut, Simpsons character, Willy Wonka’s successor, Tom Savini’s best friend, the owner of the world’s inventory of orange Tic Tac’s and the next Doctor Who companion. She feels confident she will accomplish these goals.

In an office… filled with artists… one woman… can make sure… they never run out of coffee… again.
Alina graduated in 2012 from the University of Georgia with a degree in Mass Media Arts, AKA movie magic. She has dubbed herself “the designated crack-filler” meaning whatever you need done, she’s your gal. Need a package shipped? Done. Need 6 Hot Wheels Tracks built? Done. How many Alinas does it take to change a lightbulb? 1 and she already did it 10 minutes ago.
Alina’s interests include drawing, painting, binge watching TV series on Netflix, cuddling with her cat, Andy, and sleeping in until noon on the weekends. Already an expert IKEA furniture builder, Alina hopes to expand her skills to include mind reading, time warping, time travel, and flying.
