Events are full of creative challenges.
Logistics. Venues. Speakers. Lineups. And that’s before we even get to how everything will look and sound. Events are a tremendous amount of work for something that will come and go within a matter of days. But with the right strategy, the work put into event design and content can lay the groundwork for the future.
Our journey with MRI Real Estate Software exemplifies this philosophy. This multiyear collaboration that began with event design has extended MRI’s brand story across digital videos, product launches, and interactive experiences.

Case Studies
The Design, Detailed
At the beginning of this collaboration, MRI provided us with an internally-developed static design that was 2D, flat, and modern.
We took this design direction and expanded it with flexibility in mind, creating a toolkit featuring new scenes, characters, and animations — building an animated world.
With this foundation, we’ve been able to help tell their brand’s evolving story, adapting this design across massive format keynote pieces, digital videos, and an interactive app.
Events
The flexibility of this design is nowhere more apparent than for MRI’s signature event: The MRI Ascend Conference.
In addition to a conference toolkit, we’ve made a thematic keynote piece that kicks off the event each year, providing both a 16x9 version for digital use, as well as an ultrawide version to maximize the impact of the in-person presentation.
Beyond varying formats, these pieces have spanned different themes, tones, and storytelling styles.
Every year, we’ve been able to adapt the established style by having an established design language, we are able to maintain a cohesive brand identity while also tailoring each event to its unique theme and audience.

MRI also asked us to create a companion video for the launch of their AI-powered platform, MRI Agora.
The name comes from the ancient Greek Agora, where ideas, commerce, and community came together and flourished.
This gave us another opportunity to extend and adapt the design.
Product Videos
We were able to leverage the work we put into MRI’s events to create product-focused animated videos.
Each of these told a short story showing how MRI software helps their customers tackle the problems of modern real estate.
Interactive App
MRI wanted to enhance their show floor with an interactive app using the same 2D art style that we’ve worked with for many years. They turned to us to see if we could help make their vision a reality.
We have plenty of experience designing interactive experiences. However, there were a few challenges, to say the least.
It would run on a massive 43” touchscreen
There was a tight 6 week turnaround time
We would need to code it ourselves
We are technically-savvy nerds, but we aren’t coders. However, we knew that there had to be a solution to the problem, which we found with a no-code app platform called Thunkable.
This let us utilize the work we put into previous projects and adapt it to the 9x16 form factor, creating a completely custom interactive experience.
